Board Staff would like to remind all Outfitters and Professional Guides that guide renewal applications can be submitted at any time during the calendar year. Office protocol dictates that an application be mailed in with the corresponding licensing fees and guide exam, if applicable. At this time our office is unable to process credit card payments for any license. Please remit a check or money order for all licensing fees.
We understand that emergencies may arise from time to time. A guide application can be submitted via fax or email for rush processing ONLY in an emergency situation. If you need your guide license within 48 hours, due to an emergency, you must submit the completed application and exam, if applicable, with a copy of the check being sent with original documents for payment of the license. Per Board Rules, an additional $20 rush processing fee is charged to any fax or email submission of guide applications. If we receive an incomplete fax or email application, missing any part of the components listed previously, the application will not be processed. All original documents and payment for the emergency license is expected to be mailed to our office within 48 hours of the submission. If the Board office does not receive the paperwork and payment within 10 business days the license may be voided for non-payment. Misuse of the emergency licensing procedure creates additional work for the Board staff and may lead to a licensee losing the privilege in the future.
